NoCO2 Certification
NoCO2 Certified Companies have Zero Impact toward Climate Change
Go Carbon Neutral and become NoCO2 certified
NoCO2 certification demonstrates that a company, including its products and services are carbon neutral. It is a premium commitment to averting the effects of climate change.
NoCO2 certification is metered through completion of a carbon audit to determine the carbon footprint of the company.
Once the audit is completed, companies must commit to reducing and/or offsetting their total carbon footprint. Emissions are then monitored through a re-audit each year and companies commit to monitor and purchase carbon credits to offset the total ongoing impact of the company. In this way, certified companies can guarantee that they are carbon neutral.
NoCO2 certified companies are able to market their certification by applying the logo to web pages, business cards, letterheads and products. Companies can also apply the Carbon Neutral Product logo to any products that they sell into the market.
Technical Disclosure: NoCO2
Covering all bases to ensure a High Integrity Carbon Neutral Claim
When a company achieves Carbon Neutrality, it means that they have caused zero impact towards climate change. Hence, when you buy a product or service from a carbon neutral company, that product or service should have caused no net impact toward climate change to the point you have received it.
With NoCO2 certified companies, you can guarantee that this is the case.
NoCO2 certified companies undertake an audit and enter into a binding agreement to monitor their carbon footprint and purchase carbon credits to offset remaining impacts.
What Does the Audit Include?
The audit accounts all greenhouse gas emissions caused by the company’s existence.
For NoCO2 certified companies, this includes emissions from fuels combusted onsite, electricity used in company sites, emissions from work related staff travel and the emissions from the decomposition of waste. NoCO2 certified companies also account for the greenhouse gas emissions of all products and services that they consume.
This ensures that all emissions created by all company activities are accounted for. Therefore, when a consumer buys from a NoCO2 Certified business, then the product or service they buy is carbon neutral.
