Doctors

If you are a medical practitioner and are concerned about the effects of climate change, you can take action with our Low Carbon Doctor's Initiative.

Medical Observer Magazine, in partnership with the Carbon Reduction Institute, is offering medical practices the opportunity to become low carbon or carbon neutral through a simple and financially viable process.

At the end of the process, your practice will be certified Low Carbon (Low CO2) or Carbon Neutral, (No CO2) depending on the commitment you’re comfortable with. And thanks to this GP-focused initiative, the audit costs less than half the usual rate.

There are many benefits to getting involved, including:

Take Action:

  • Know your carbon footprint
  • Practical tips and useful tools to reduce energy use
  • Credible advice on how your practice can reduce its environmental impact
  • Staff involvement and enthusiasm
  • Save money on your energy bills

Recognition & Education:

  • Local community engagement
  • Medical Observer Magazine and the Carbon Reduction Institute recognition
  • Wider medical community recognition
  • Media opportunities
